North London
Mill Hill, NW7
A full bathroom renovation in a north London home, delivered over four weeks for a contract value of £16,000.
The project
This was a full strip-out and rebuild rather than a cosmetic refresh. The existing room was taken back to the substrate so the layout, the services and the waterproofing could all be addressed properly rather than worked around.
At £16,000 and four weeks on site, this is the largest of our recent bathroom projects. More than one room and a reconfigured layout are what separate it from a single-room refit, in programme as much as in cost — once soil and supply pipework move, the sequencing changes for every trade that follows.
What was involved
Strip-out and disposal, first fix plumbing and electrics, waterproofing to wet areas, full tiling, sanitaryware and brassware installation, glazing, and decoration. Everything was commissioned and tested as it went in, and the room was snagged by us before handover.
